Animation Quotation PDF: Runtime, Storyboards and Revision Stages

September 30, 2026

An animation quotation PDF should define the production work behind the finished video. Runtime alone does not explain scene complexity, style, supplied assets or revision expectations. A useful quote connects the price to an agreed production brief.

Use the quote PDF generator once the key deliverables and approval stages are clear.

Describe the output and supplied assets

Include business and customer details, quote number, issue date and validity date. State the proposed runtime, animation style, aspect ratio and output format. Explain whether the client supplies a final script, brand assets and recorded voiceover or whether those are separately selected services.

Identify the reference brief or storyboard version. “One animated video” is too broad when one customer expects simple text motion and another expects many custom character scenes.

Separate production stages

List the included storyboard, visual design, animation and finishing stages. Give the approval point for each stage and describe the included revision allowance. Changes to an approved script can affect both the storyboard and completed animation, so explain how such requests will be priced before proceeding.

Worked quotation example

These illustrative USD figures exclude tax and assume a client-supplied final script and voiceover.

Selected production stageAmount (USD)
Storyboard and visual direction250
Animation for agreed 45-second brief700
Finishing and one final-format export100
Total before tax1050

The total is USD 1,050. A square or vertical adaptation can be offered separately if it requires layout work, but keep it outside the selected total until the client chooses it. Do not charge again for a format already included in the package.

Explain what the handover includes

State whether delivery includes only the finished video or also agreed editable project files. Identify music, stock assets or other supplied elements by reference to the accepted arrangement. Do not promise unrestricted reuse of third-party assets without confirming the actual permissions.

Set the schedule around the required client feedback and asset delivery. If an essential voiceover arrives late or the script changes, document the resulting schedule adjustment with the customer.

Keep billing aligned with approval

Use the invoice PDF generator when an agreed stage or balance becomes payable. Reference the accepted quote and identify the production stage, avoiding a full-project charge when only a stage payment is due.

Frequently asked questions

Should every extra second use the same rate?

Only if that is the agreed model. Additional runtime may require new scenes or assets, so assess the actual scope before quoting a change.

Are project files automatically included?

No assumption should be made. State the agreed handover deliverables explicitly.

Prepare an animation quote PDF with clear production stages and selected outputs.
