Custom Furniture Quotation PDF: Dimensions, Materials and Delivery

September 30, 2026

A custom furniture quotation PDF should connect the price to a specific design. “One cabinet” is not enough when dimensions, internal fittings, material and finish all affect the proposed work.

Use the quote PDF generator once the design brief is detailed enough to support a meaningful price.

Reference the approved drawing

Add supplier and customer details, quote number, issue date and validity date. Identify the furniture item and drawing revision. Record dimensions with units and label width, depth and height; three unlabeled numbers are easy to misread.

State whether measurements are confirmed or subject to a site check. If the price depends on final dimensions, make that condition visible before the customer accepts. Keep drawings and finish samples connected to the same revision reference.

Specify materials and fittings

Describe the agreed material, finish and included hardware. A broad phrase such as “wood cabinet” may not distinguish solid material from a veneered construction. Use the actual specification offered and identify selected handles, hinges or drawer fittings where they matter to the price.

Worked quotation example

These illustrative USD figures exclude tax and assume the design and measurements are confirmed.

Selected scopeAmount (USD)
Cabinet manufacture to drawing CF-12 revision B850
Selected finish120
Agreed delivery60
Installation described in scope90
Total before tax1120

The total is 850 + 120 + 60 + 90 = USD 1,120. If finish or installation is already included in the manufacture price, avoid duplicating it as another charge.

Make delivery and installation boundaries clear

State the delivery destination, access assumptions and whether placement or installation is included. A delivery to the entrance differs from carrying furniture upstairs and fitting it in place. Identify any required customer preparations without turning an unconfirmed site condition into an assumed fact.

Describe the production lead time and what starts it, such as final drawing approval and the agreed booking payment. If the design changes later, issue an updated quotation before treating the change as accepted.

Prepare the billing document

At the agreed payment stage, use the invoice PDF generator and reference the accepted quote and drawing revision. Match the invoice to the actual stage or balance being billed.

Frequently asked questions

Can alternative finishes appear on the quote?

Yes. Label alternatives clearly and include only the selected finish in the main total.

Should dimensions be repeated on every invoice?

A concise item description and the accepted drawing reference may be enough to identify the work, provided the customer can access that specification.
